Secret tip
Only a few km away is Konnersreuth with the hotel "Weiisses Ross". There I was able to stay in an assembly room in the Yellow House, which is small but contains all the accessories like other hotels including flat screen TV. The distance can also be seen from the balcony, the vastness of the Upper Palatinate. Because accommodation and breakfast cost only €49, the menu at the restaurant, which opened on 4 April, is tempting. Advent Sunday is well filled, even more so. First the soup of the day in a small terrine: The down-to-earth landlady modestly thinks it's just potato soup today. And how well it was seasoned. After that, not the schnitzel, which you can choose and supplement at will. For there was beef with horseradish sauce and dumplings. This was not delicious, but DELICIOUS! Apple strudels with vanilla ice cream also joined in at table.
And: Zoiglbier.
A good breakfast is served in the bright vault of the former stable, whose plaster has been removed in places so that the old monastery format of the ceiling tiles can show the authenticity of the building fabric. Here is nothing made of plastic or cardboard' - not even the attitude of the staff.
Then through the archway out onto Therese-Neumann-Platz, where the car is parked for free.
Impressive how the Resl shaped the place. Their mystery transcends all explanation.
